Hello all!
BabyBoomerBlog just hit 250 subscribers today on our 90th day. Thank you all for participating! It’s been a fun ride with 25 published newsletters - 2 per week.
Now we are going for 500. I am asking for your help. Can you kindly send this newsletter to one friend? We are trying to get the word out that things are changing in senior living as we Baby Boomers are getting older. There is so much to deal with. Aging, health, finances, adult children, grandchildren, where to live, how to live. All those little aches and pains, and the big ones, too. Sometimes life is great. Sometimes it sucks.
This is our chance to make a difference. To have a voice. Like the rest of the world, senior living is changing before our eyes. As many of you know, I like to play the piano. Thirty years ago, I used to play for “patients” in our “facilities” (nursing homes). Then 15 years ago, I played for “residents” in our “senior communities” (assisted living). Now, I just want to play for “people” where they live in (not even senior) communities and our just living their lives. It’s all about people. People living, people working, all helping each other try to live a meaningful life. That’s it. Do a little good. Have some fun. Try to enjoy each day. Do something big. Do something small. It’s pretty much the same. Isn’t it?
Here is an one of my early newsletters from the spring about change that many of you may not have read, as it was early on. I hope you enjoy it, and read some more of my earlier pieces, and continue to participate in BabyBoomerBlog. Thanks, again.
